Steve Clagget will look to bring his "A" game Friday November 7th. Coach Eric de Guzman has high expectations out of this fight now that Steve is at the proper weight. Steves last fight was at 147lbs.

Ted Reno loses against rough and tough Matt Gembey from Winnipeg. Teddy got caught with a big left hook that he could never recover from, in the late stages of the second round, getting stopped in the sixth round. Reno slips to 3-2-2 while Gembey improves to 7-2-2.

"Steve Claggett turns pro!!!"
Steve Claggett one of the last surviving members of the original stable of boxers Eric de Guzman created has decided to turn professional.  "I'm hungry to win right know and all I want to do is eat, sleep, and train."  Steve vowed to trainer and owner of Teofist Boxing Gym to get his act together and concentrate on the fight game.  "He's always been in this game to become a elite professional not to be decorated amateur" states Eric de Guzman.  His first fight will be in Edmonton Sept 12, his opponent is yet to be determined.  "He wants to fight everybody there is out there and my job will be to make sure that he fights the right fights and us as a team will take this 19 year old kid to as far as he wants to go.  Gerry Gilbert an assistant coach to Garry Johnson (Kirk Johnson's Dad) from Nova Scotia is on board with Steve Claggett and will bring the old school fighter and professional movements out of Steve.  "I told him he reminds me of Margarito and he says he doesn't want to be like Margarito he wants to be like them all; Mayweather, Pacquio, Pavlik, Mosely and use whichever one works the best".

Ted Reno
Teofista Teddy Reno (3-1-2), Calgary continues his welterweight bid to a Canadian title signing a deal with Matt Gemby (6-2-1) Winnipeg for a scheduled 6 rounder.  "Teddys been training hard and wants to get back in the ring.  We just want to take them out one at a time fight by fight and take our time doing it " states coach/manager Eric de Guzman.  Teddy knows the game and he is here to win and make some decent money.  Teddy fought twice last year for Team Teofista after relocating from Nova Scotia, winning both via Unanimous decisions.  " Our plan is to get at least five fights total between now and June 2009.  Teofista Teddy, a cagy, tricky, elusive, smart boxer with a granite chin will be fighting on October 11 2008 at the Deerfoot inn Casino in the Chrome room.

Call 403 247 4700 for any boxing tickets information.

Ted Reno puts on another galliant effort and showed poise and precision on Saturday nights Pro Am show at the Deerfoot Inn and Casino. Watch the fight on Team Teofista's Facebook Page. Teddy's opponent Stephan Chartrand, came into the fight with lots of toughness and made Teddy fight every round but Teddy still scored the unanamous decision, putting his pro record back on track (3-1-2).

Garry Louie completes the Trilogoy with Todd Furlur by out working and out punching him.  Garry Louie had to change styles from his usual pin point sharp punching to a blue collered fight where he had to out hustle his opponent eventually wearing him down and scoring the unanamous decision.

ALAN BELCHER VS. ( Teofista's Own) JASON DAY

ROUND 1 -- After a touch of gloves, Belcher scores the early takedown. He drops an elbow from sidemount before trying to step over for full mount but is pulled into guard. Day uses his long limbs to tie up Belcher, who's now resting his head on his opponent's chest. Belcher's elbows miss the mark, and after a stalemate, the ref restarts the fighters. Day immediately goes on the offensive and pokes jabs through his opponent's guard and then tags Belcher with a series of combinations. Belcher is staggering around the cage and has no offensive, and the Canadian crowd jumps to its feet to root on the local fighter. The blows continue to land flush before the ref jumps in to save Belcher.

Jason Day def. Alan Belcher via TKO (strikes) -- Round 1, 3:58

Teofista
Jason "Dooms" Day beats David "The crow" Louiseau in a three round split decision that saw Doomsday show his superior ring savy and ability to stay calm.  The Crow took Doomday down but could not mount a proper assault.  Even with The Crow on top Doomsday out husttled and out worked The crow.  Doomsday showed he was more comfortable on his feet, and worked accuratly when in the stand up clinch.  This was the biggest win of Jason "Dooms" Day's carreer.  Stay posted and follow Jason to the top of the UFC.
